When Drinking With Ants - Always Sit To The Left

And the winner of yesterday’s game of spot the foreign object is…

MikeWJ at Too Many Mornings!

He didn’t get it right, but he was the only one participating and he scored a very respectable 23 points (mostly for creativity). Congratulations, Mike! The correct answer was:

Squidward Tentacles

Amazingly enough, the grass is still growing. I haven’t killed it, it hasn’t accidentally caught on fire, and I haven’t left it in the car without the window rolled down. I didn’t even smoke it!

Watch That Grass Grow!

Today’s foreign object is a fine specimen of Camelus bactrianus. He is plastic and spits water if you press on his head. He came into my possession after I found him abandoned in a Kinder Egg, and when he comes of age I will trade him in for a new wife. He looks rather stunning in high grass, don’t you think?

While we’re talking about animals, did you know that an ant always falls over on its right side when intoxicated? Whoever did that experiment had a really twisted sense of humor. I’m just saying. I’m also curious as to whether the ants preferred vodka or whisky. It makes a difference. *

  1. As much as I would've liked to prominently display this coveted Ziva's Inferno award on my crowded trophy shelf, I feel that I must in all fairness turn it down and give it Dani. Dani's guess--that it was Tove Jansson's beloved cartoon character Moominpappa--is simply too brilliant to ignore. Plus, I still feel sort of guilty for thinking it was Mrs. Gorton giving a blowjob to the Gorton's Fisherman. I turned something innocent and fun into something dirty and fun, soiling the true meaning of Easter grass, which, frankly, I'd never heard of until Ziva wrote about it, and find quaint and charming. Dani, enjoy your award, and go forth boldly with pride.

  2. Mike - You are most noble in relinquishing your hard earned award, even though Dani's contribution came in after I'd declared you the winner. Although, I have to say it wasn't much of an award... I should probably have Muschu draw up a fancy award that I can present the next time I host a contest. Maybe Moominpappa on his boat? Or why not Mårran (The Groke) or Stinky...? I like Stinky.

  3. Yes, I think the possibility of winning an actual award might increase participation. Doesn't matter how stupid it is, people just like to get their hands on free shit.

  4. Mike - You don't say... I've put Zelma on the job. I told her I need something with fire.
