Shiny
The shiniest thing I own is without doubt my wedding ring. I haven't been wearing it for all that long yet, which is probably why it's still shiny, and I'm still not entirely used to wearing such a fancy ring. But even though it's worth more than my car (my lunch is worth more than my car, though, so maybe that's not the best comparison) and it shines brighter than Michael's bald spot, that's not why I love it. I love this ring for what it symbolizes, a life with the person I love.
Cue the collective "awww."

Great! How am I supposed to compete with a wedding ring symbolizing your recent tryst and everlasting love with M? I cry foul on this one!
ReplyDeleteawwwh. looks good.
ReplyDeleteAWWWW.... everything I own is worth more than my car! Poor Mike... he's already crying foul. It could be a long month for him!
ReplyDeleteI cry foul too. In fact, I quit...;) Okay, I don't, but I do quit for today and will start tomorrow, because I'm a rule-breaker. It doesn't help that I was up all night last night volunteering at a local hospice. But I'll be joining y'all starting tomorrow...
ReplyDeleteFor him? It's going to be a long month for us all, who are you kidding, lady? :)
ReplyDeleteAwwwwwwwwww. How perty.
ReplyDeleteYou do know that all shiny things are cat toys. Hee Hee. So pretty!
ReplyDeleteSilly Mike, you're not supposed to compete, there's no winner, remember?
ReplyDeleteOh yes, pesky volunteering messing with your photo challenge. ;) Seriously, though, I'm looking forward to seeing your photo tomorrow. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks, V. :)
ReplyDeleteHaha, I'm with UP, it's going to be a very long month for all of us. But see, everything is a little more difficult when you're MikeWJ. ;)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Cheryl!
ReplyDeleteI know! I can't leave anything on the table, if I turn my back, the cats will take it. This is true for rings, hairbands, coins, telephones...
ReplyDeleteAwwwww!!! I can already tell my photos will pale in comparison to everyone else's. Not that I'm comparing. That would be so unevolved of me. And not why I'm playing anyway, right? So, besides all that, your ring is absolutely beautiful!
ReplyDeleteWorth more than your car? You have cars in Finland?
ReplyDeleteIt's BEAUTIFUL!!! Fabulous photo!
ReplyDeleteShiny Ziva - thank you for hosting. I've linked in!

Haha, thank you, Margaret! I assure you, no one will do more comparing than MikeWJ, who thinks everything ultimately is a competition. But that's why we love him, so we let him keep at it.
ReplyDeleteWe do! Amazing, I know. They're the modern kind with a hole in the floor and no emissions.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much, Meleah!
ReplyDeleteAwesome, I'll be right over to check out your photo. :)
ReplyDeleteOh yes, very shiny pretty symbol of how much you love someone other than me. Whatever.
ReplyDeleteHello gorgeous, M just left for Sweden. Want to Skype?
ReplyDeleteGorgeous photo, Ziva, and a lovely take on the theme! I'm impressed!
ReplyDeleteLove the contrast in colors. Gorgeous ring!!
ReplyDeletehmmmm... why is there a red X next to my name?
ReplyDeleteYou can delete your own link if you wanted to. I don't see the red X, you're the only one who sees it. ;)
ReplyDeleteThank you, Lauren!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much, Linda!
ReplyDeleteOh!! Okay! Gotcha!
ReplyDeleteDisqus ate my comment, I think. Awesome shot, dear lady! I wish you many years of happiness and shiny-ness!
ReplyDeleteIs that a euphemism?
ReplyDeleteDamn Disqus, screwing up everything. Well, I'm glad it stuck this time. And thank you ever so much!
ReplyDeleteMaybeee....
ReplyDeleteIndeed, AWWWWW! :) But very seriously, what beautiful words to go with such a beautiful picture!
ReplyDeleteAww, thank you, Katherine!
ReplyDeleteYes, yes I do.
