  1. There are many things I like about this photograph, including the ideal triptych composition and the strange, almost magical negative image of that lone chair hidden in an open space behind some trees, which whispers, "Secret." But I also admire it from a technical standpoint. It must've been dark outside, and I can't help but wonder how you held your hands still enough to take the shot. Or did you use a tripod?

  2. It is no secret that I love places like this...except here in Florida you have to watch out for snakes both on the ground and in the trees...never go in the woods alone.

  4. I guess we all have a secret place either in our mind or in reality where we like to go from time to time. I really like yours.

  6. Exactly what am I looking at? No, no, no don't tell me. Okay tell me. No, no, no don't tell me. Maybe give me a hint. No, don't give me any hints. I hate secrets.

  7. That is a really intriguing photo! It almost looks like a negative image or something shot with old-fashioned infra-red film (you are far too young to have used this!). I really love the quality.
Funny, I pictured Mike as more of a night-time knitter.

  8. There is a giant man standing behind that chair. Am I the only one who sees it? I swear I haven't started drinking...yet. Ziva, you took a perfectly normal setting and made it look magical. But I'm not going in there with that giant man.

  12. At first I wanted to find this chair and sit in it with a good book and enjoy some alone time... but the more I looked at it, the more it began to creep me out as if it's some "time out" spot where bad kids get snatched from.

  13. Thank you, Pat, I sure wouldn't want Mike finding out..

  14. Well, over here we only have two types of snakes, only one of which is poisonous. Also, it's so cold already that all the snakes have gone into zombie-mode in some deep dark cave. ;)

  15. Can I tell you a secret, dufus? This isn't really my secret place, but I can't post a photo of water every single day. ;)

  16. Jamie... you don't want to know.

  17. I think it's more of an Evil Twin kind of a chair..;)

  19. Thanks, LM! It really did turn out quite well. It was dark, and a yellow street light made everything seem slightly orange. It made for a nice effect when I made it B&W.

  21. It's strange you'd say that, it's actually a kid's chair. It's too small for you and me to sit in, but for a kid, about to get snatched... It's perfect. ;)

  22. No tripod. Just me, the chair and a yellow street light. I'm very glad you liked it, Mike. :)

  23. Yes. It's also the time-out chair, because Mike's bad a lot.

  24. Crap, now I really want to know... but I am a little afraid.

  25. I love the photo. I do needlepoint too. It's really fun. No, actually I took up embroidery for a little while and wrote sweet nothings on my boyfriend's underwear.

  26. Wow, you're a better person than I am, Linda, I just used to steal my boyfriends' underwear.

  27. Don't be afraid, it will only hurt for a little while.
