Thirty Days of Photographs: Monday

How come 6 a.m. always feels so damn early when it's Monday morning?

  1. Poor Lemmikki. I feel for you, even if getting up that early is now just a distant memory to me. Because I love you so much, I won't even mention that I got up at 9 o'clock this morning. That would just be mean of me. I will, however, tell you that this is a great photo. I think the only thing that would make it better is if it included your arm reaching over to hit the "Torkkua" button.

  2. I want to know who gets up at 6 a.m.? That's not a good time for man or beast.
did you actually take the picture at 6 or did you set the clock and turn out the lights?

  4. I feel your pain.  I don't get up until 9.  It's a civilized hour.  Mondays are brutal even when you sleep until 9.  I really don't have much use for Mondays.  The problem is that they come far too often.  If we only had a Monday once a month it would be fine with me.  On the other hand, I love Fridays.  Fridays are like Spring, aren't they?  You just know something good is right around the corner.

Great photo by the way.  I do wish your arm was in it though.

  5. Well maybe it's because you have to work for a living. I haven't worked for 5 years. Waking up at 6am is the least of my worries. I'm still trying to tell the days apart.

  6. There really are too many Mondays in a week. I'm just wondering, will Tuesday become Monday if we take away Monday? I love Fridays. I'll have to get up at 6 tomorrow morning, too, but since it's Friday, I'll do it with a smile on my face.

  7. I love snooze and set my alarm early enough that I'll have time to snooze once or twice. I think I'm addicted to it by now.

  8. The alarm rang at 6:00, I rolled out of bed, grabbed the camera and took that picture. It's so out of focus because my eyes won't really work that early in the morning.

  9. Would 6:02 be better for you?

    Ha!

    Ugh.

  10.  I tried to include my arm in the picture, but removing your arm from the socket is way harder than you think. Serisouly, so difficult!

I'm really glad you didn't mention you got up at 9 o'clock this morning, I would have been really jealous and maybe asked to come stay with you. But I won't now, since you didn't mention it.

  13. At that time of day, you're grateful for every extra second of sleep you get. 6:02 would be heaven.

  14. Oh good, I'm not the only one. It's alwyas interesting to arrive at work and see myself in the mirror, only then will I know how the make up turned out.

  15. I only give myself about a half hour to get ready, I live ten minutes from the office so I usually get in the shower at 7:45 to be at work at 8:30

  17. Hahaha...I work later hours so I get up pretty whenever I want. In fact, I haven't had to get up at 6am since yesterday when the freakin roofers showed up.

  18. Nothing good ever happens at 6:00 in the morning. At least, not if you work.

  19. Did the autofocus on your camera break?

  20. I know, I try to tell my alarm clock that every single morning, but it won't agree with me. Stupid thing.

  21. Oh young grasshopper, I never use autofocus. The autofocus in my eyes must be broken.

  22. You get up whenever you want? Damn. I hope the roofers come again tomorrow. And the day after that. And the day after that.

  23. Maybe I'll do it later, for the self-portrait.
