30 Days of Photographs IV: Two Birds, One Stone

It's almost been a week of this way more than a week long photo challenge. We're nowhere near finished, and MikeWJ and I can already feel you weaklings giving up. It makes us smile.

Add your link at the bottom of the page, and try to muster up the energy to look at the other photos and offer your condolences.

Day 6: Two Birds, One Stone

I regretted this the second I suggested it. But when MikeWJ and I get together to decide on the prompts, vasts amounts of alcohol and call girls are involved, and the rules state that once a prompt is suggested, you can't take it back. If it survives the grueling ridicule of whomever didn't make the suggestion, it's in. And frankly, we desperately needed a bird prompt to appease Cheryl.

I really hadn't thought it through, though. Two birds and a stone. Where am I supposed to find a stone willing to model with two birds?

I know. Impossible.

So I had to get creative. And I baked an apple pie because I know M was feeling stressed out, and probably needed some comfort food. And when I took it out of the oven, I realized it would make a good photo, too. You know, the pie that both made M feel a little better, and gave me something to photograph for my challenge. Totally killing two birds with one stone.

NOW can I join #teamlame?

  3. Slobber, slobber, drool. That is a mighty fine looking pie! Are you sure you aren't from the southern US?

  4. I guess you will just have to eat your humble pie.

  5. Very clever. Killing two birds with one stone and no birdies were harmed in the creation of the pie or the photo. I like it.

  6. Oh, man, with that line your an honourary member of team lame. But you may want to recheck your spelling of "two".

Ziva that pie looks delicious. You are a woman of hidden talents, you are.

  7. That looks delicious and it's one gorgeous photo too. You managed to kill another 2 birds with one photo over here.

  8. She may have other talents she keeps hidden but not cooking and baking. She did an entire post sometime this spring completely devoted to photos of her delicious desserts. She's slipped in meals here and there too. Everything has looked tasty and beautifully presented.

  9. Good lord, if the two of us ever did marry, we'd weigh about 4000 lbs. Each. Loistava, Lemmikki!

  10. I love it when you speak to me in Finnish. It makes me want to bake some more. And other stuff... Mostly other stuff, frankly. ;)

  11. Thanks, Cheryl. :) You're welcome to come over for a slice anytime!

  12. Come to Finland and I'll show you some of my hidden talents. ;)

  13. Oh, I ate it. Most of it, anyway, I left M a slice.

  14. You know, I always thought I might be adopted, so who knows?

  15. You might have to share with another blogger or two. ;)

  16. Oh, Ziva!! You make me laugh and WELCOME to #teamlame!

Today's prompt was probably the toughest for me - aside from NSFW - but I'm glad you picked it - even if it was only appease Cheryl!

  17. Ha, thank you, Meleah! This was a really difficult one, wasn't it? I have a sneaking suspicion I'm going to be saying that about the next 24 prompts..

Okay, so my photo for today was only good because of the post, but I'm supposed to accept a beautiful photo of a delicious-looking apple pie as Two Birds, One Stone?

    Nope, I'm not buying it.

Not only that, but next time you suggest we do a 30 Days contest, I expect better booze and much higher-class call girls. The last ones were plenty agreeable, but a little skanky.

Now pass me a slice of that pie, a la mode, please.

Now I have an image of two 4,000-pound bi-curious women stuck in my head.

It's not bad, to be honest.

    What is this, match.com?

  21. I didn't have to, it was already dead. The oven just sealed the deal.

  22. I'm not getting you any call girls at all next time, you big oaf. Not until you tell me I win the challenge.

I really ought to let you win this one. I've won the previous three. Maybe I'll start taking photos with my eyes closed or something.

  24. That looks beautiful. It's almost too pretty to eat. Almost.

No, I'm just hoping to book my flight to Finland and get there before NoName and Nicky.

  27. Yeah, almost. M can attest to that. ;)

    ReplyDelete
  28. You do realize I just let you believe that to spare your delicate feelings, right?

  29. The Amazing Race, Ziva style. :D

  30. You have gorgeous hair, everyone loves you, you are an amazing photographer, you are able to handle MikeWJ AND you can COOK?!?!?

    ReplyDelete
  31. I really like apple pie with bourbon. Well, I like anything with bourbon. How about I come over and you can have apple pie and vodka while I polish off the rest of the pie with bourbon. M may be out of luck...as far as the pie is concerned. Beautiful, delicious photo!

  32. I was hoping you would back a blackbird pie for Cheryl!

    ReplyDelete
  33. If you make me a pie like that I might consider voting to add you to #teamlame.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Screw M, he always gets pie, he doesn't need one right now.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Okay, I have no idea what a blackbird pie is. Is this some American thing?

    ReplyDelete
  36. Oh wow, suddenly I feel like I should admit that I have a horrible temper, can't sing worth crap, sometimes I howl at the moon, and I definitely don't have Fake Barbie's assets. ;)

Oh, and let me know of you ever need tips on how to handle MikeWJ, I'm happy to share.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Looks scrumptious - any left ?? I suppose Mike ate most of it?

    ReplyDelete
  38. We both used food to get through this horrible prompt. I like the way you think :)

    ReplyDelete
  39. Likewise, my friend. Now if we can only get more people to like the way we think, we'd be golden.

    ReplyDelete
  40. None left, I'm afraid, but that's easily fixed. I'd much rather be baking than trying to figure out what to post for tomorrow's prompt. ;)
