Day 8 of Bob, and we're still going strong. Well, some of you are. The rest of us have taken up drinking and resorted to posting photos of pies. Link up at the bottom of the page, and then meet me over at
MikeWJ's. The first, second, and eight drinks are on him.
Day 8: Texture
*
30 Days of Photographs IV: Texture
This photo reminds me of a lot of birds. No one tell MikeWJ.
ReplyDeleteJust because I know someone else will say it, let me say it first. You have nice pineapples.
ReplyDeleteMmmm... lovely pineapple!
ReplyDeleteHa ha! Coming to peck his eyes out.
ReplyDeleteSince it's still early in the day here, how about we start with some mimosas? That pineapple would make a great garnish.
ReplyDeleteDrinking really does help or did last night. Not so much this morning. Lovely photo.
ReplyDeleteI love the angle you chose to shoot from. I've never looked so closely at a pineapple (maybe?) and its textures are fascinating. I'm hoping this is destined to become a pineapple upside-down cake because I haven't had one of those for years.
ReplyDeleteWhat Shawn said.
ReplyDeleteThat's an amazing shot, Ziva. Hmmm, speaking of shots, I could use one about now..
ReplyDeleteNice, I want a piece.
ReplyDeleteI think that pineapple may attack me. I'm going for a knife.
ReplyDeleteWill the drinks include the pineapple? Because that would be awesome! Send me a drink...
ReplyDelete:-)
Traci
Oh, yummmmy!!! I love pineapple.
ReplyDeleteMost excellent shot, Ziva!
That looks like a very juicy pineapple. So juicy it fell over.
ReplyDeleteVery nice shot, Z. Do you have one of those handy pineapple cutters? Pineapple is great, but I always waste half of it when I cut it up. You should get one of those pineapple slicers. I do not work for the company that makes them.
ReplyDeleteWicked texture !
ReplyDeleteThanks! :)
ReplyDeleteAdmit it, you totally work for the company that makes those pineapple slicers.
ReplyDeleteIt had a little bit too much to drink last night.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Meleah!
ReplyDeleteAwesome, slice it up for me, would you?
ReplyDeleteI'm sure we could make that happen. :)
ReplyDeleteBe my guest. :)
ReplyDeleteWhat's your poison?
ReplyDeleteI've never had that, but now I'm very curious to taste it! I might just have to make one... This challenge is going to make me fat.
ReplyDeleteThe trick is to keep drinking, that way the hangover never gets you.
ReplyDeletePerfect!
ReplyDeleteMmmm, indeed. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Shawn, you sure know how to make a girl feel good about her pineapples.
ReplyDeleteHe'll think it's a conspiracy.. The birds are out to get him, disguised as pineapples.
ReplyDeleteOh pretty much anything as long as it doesn't have pineapple in it.
ReplyDeletexoxox
ReplyDeleteI think you'll like it. I've noticed you tend to bake with fruit and this is definitely a treat.
ReplyDeleteRan across this gem from Tawdry Swank - a cheese pate pineapple. Oh the glory of it all, something to please both you and Nicky!

I'm very worried about the birds, especially the ones disguised as pineapples. However, they might make a good photo for disguise.
ReplyDeleteThis is a really nice photograph, Ziva. You managed to find texture in an unusual place, and I like those little "faces" in the skin, which I'd never noticed before. My only question is, where in the hell did you find a pineapple in Finland, which is almost anti-tropical?
ReplyDeleteYou'll never believe this, but I found it in the most unlikely place ever... The fruit section of my grocery store! Shocking, I know.
ReplyDeleteBut, but... it's cheese! Why would anyone do that?
ReplyDeleteI can work with that.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the suggestion. :)
ReplyDeleteSo sorry to be commenting a day late, but this is an awesome photo! Excellent choice of the most textural (is that a word?) fruit. I love a good, sweet, ripe pineapple. That sounded a little sexual, didn't it?
ReplyDeleteIt totally did.... I'm feeling a bit tingly now.
