Link up at the bottom of the page. Or don't. MikeWJ doesn't care.
Day 25: Poison
Because I just have so much extra time on my hands with work, and moving, and taking photos for the challenge, and looking at twenty photos every day, and leaving comments on twenty photos every day, I decided that I needed to bake cookies to pass the time.
Double chocolate chip cookies. A little slice of heaven in my hell.
But something's wrong... The evil cat is out to get my cookies. Little does he know that it's a trap, because chocolate, while the food of the gods, is horribly poisonous to cats.

Poor kitteh gets no cookies!!! Pretty shot and AMAZZZZING subject!!!
ReplyDeleteI have a cat. Can you send me some of those cookies?
ReplyDeleteGreat shots, nice cat, don't poison it.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! - The cat, I mean.
ReplyDeleteThe biscuits look divine , but I think you're wicked to post such photos, when I'm cutting out all sweet foods.
I am drooling over those cookies, Ziva!!!
ReplyDeleteGood one.
ReplyDeleteIt's also poisonous to dogs. They simply can't metabolise the theobromine in it and it can kill them or cause organ damage. However, the good news is that the toxic dose is linked with body weight and for dogs the size of my greyhounds they would have to eat quite a large amount of the dark chocolate to be in any serious danger - not that I want to risk it, so ALL my dark chocolate (my favourite kind) is closed firmly in a drawer with a round knob which neither of them knows how to open, and while we are away from home they are shut out of that room, too!
I've gained 5 pounds just *looking* at your "worst photos of the challenge so far".
ReplyDeleteI knew it was poisonous for dogs, but had no idea cats were at risk too. I'm sure dufus will be happy to know this to protect the one cat he's yet to kill. The look on your cat's face is priceless.
ReplyDeleteAre you sending those cookies out to all of us to show your appreciation for our continued dedication to this challenge?
ReplyDeleteSo not poor kitty, I feed him like at least twice a week. ;)
ReplyDeleteYou're going to need a lot of cookies, cats have nine lives.
ReplyDeleteThanks. :) I'll try not to.
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry, Babs, perhaps you could sort of squint and just look at the cat and not the sweet stuff ;)
ReplyDeleteThank you, Tami! I'm no MikeWJ, but I try. ;)
ReplyDeleteMe too, Meleah... Quite literally.
ReplyDeleteYou are very right! And dogs are much more likely to eat chocolate than cats, because oddly enough, cats can't taste sweetness, so they're not interested in eating the chocolate. Believe me, I've tried offering it to them..... ;)
ReplyDeleteCome on over and I'll help you work off those 5 pounds.
ReplyDeleteIf dufus manages to kill his cat with chocolate, I will be very impressed. Cat's can't taste sweetness, so they're not very likely to eat chocolate. ;) Weird animals.
ReplyDeleteUm, well, I was going to, but then they were just sitting there, and they were looking so good, so I just had to try one. And then it was suddenly gone, so I had to take another one. And this happened a few times.. So really what I'm trying to say is, no.
ReplyDeleteThey are both too lovely to miss :)
ReplyDeleteOh please.
ReplyDeleteGo on.
You have really nice cookies.
ReplyDeleteOr had, I guess, after reading the comments.
And the cat photo is a really funny photo, even tho it's a cat photo. You do good work, Ziva.
That's the one thing I couldn't imagine: a cat even caring about eating anything remotely sweet.
ReplyDeleteTami can take it from here.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Mike. I'll make some more cookies for when you come over.
ReplyDeleteLolz!!
ReplyDeleteCats AND food. :)
ReplyDeleteNo. Not just food. Cookies. Freshly baked too. This is a luscious photo, Z. And I don't use that word lightly. In fact I never ever say that word out loud. It's reserved for the rare and beautiful cats and cookies pics. I want cookies.
I'll help you.
ReplyDeleteHm....thought I commented here. Don't see it. I'll send you my cookies if you'll send me those. We may get them by Christmas
ReplyDeleteBut it's a wonderful poison for human. I don't which is more beautiful - the cookies or the cat.
ReplyDeleteI could swear I commented here earlier today. Hmmm... I must have written something very funny too.
ReplyDeleteWell, they do say that curiosity killed the cat...
ReplyDelete:-)
Traci
Damn, that really is a good word.. Thanks, Mike. :)
ReplyDeleteI would totally send you my cookies, but M just ate the last one. Sorry! Maybe Evil Twin can bake you some.
ReplyDeleteA wonderful, sinful, amazing poison... I want some poison right now.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure you did, Shawn, I'm sure you did.....
ReplyDeleteIn this case, I think it's stupidity. ;)
