When I hear the word “wet,” I automatically think about
sex water. Water makes things wet, right? I like water, in every form. I love the steam in a good sauna, I enjoy to swim in it and skate on it. I think snow and frost is beautiful, and I even like to drink water straight from the tap. Yes, I’m really that hardcore. But my favorite form of water is, and always will be, rain.
This picture is of raindrops on the windshield in M’s car. We were on our way to see friends, it was raining, and I was smiling.

Thirty Days of Photographs: Wet
Very cool Ziva! Love the darkness and the light of the clouds, looks like a pretty nasty storm, but you're all cozy inside the car. I'd be smiling to.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Madge! It was a wonderful storm, you could still hear the thunder in the distance when we got to our friends' place.
ReplyDeleteI love this photo, Ziva! Like you, I love the rain. I like to talk walks in it, read while it pours down outside, and fall asleep to the sound of it. I can't get enough of it, really. I should marry the rain.
ReplyDeleteUm, Ziva, doesn'y M know that cars now come with windshield wipers? Nevertheless I really love that picture. Why were you smiling/
ReplyDeleteI love the rain, too! Unfortunately, when it rains here it is usually torrential and you loath to go out in it. That, and it really screws with my hair.
ReplyDelete;-)I love the photo - it reminds me of the nicer rains from whence I came.(P.S. Just wondering if you got around to learning, "Rain" on the piano - hey, that would have been a nice add-on to this post, come to think of it.)
I like rain too, but not being out in it. This looks like a pretty good downpour! Great photo! Wonderful light showing through!
ReplyDeleteThat's beautiful. I want to ride on top of that car in that rain.
ReplyDeleteYeah, we are getting desperate.
I'll send you some rain, you really shouldn't have to ride on top of the car.
ReplyDeleteI love being out in the rain, especially warm summer rain. I think it's purifying, in a way.
ReplyDeleteHah, the only thing the rain does to my hair is make it wet and straight. Very boring.
ReplyDeleteNo, I haven't taught myself "Rain," yet. I couldn't find any sheet music for it, and even though I've listened to it plenty of times, I simply haven't had the time to try to learn it by just listening. I wish I could find the time, though, it's a stunning song.
They do? Our car might be too old. It's the kind with a hole in the floor and you have to use your feet to roll it forward.
ReplyDeleteI was smiling because it was raining.
Thanks, Wilma. I thought you were smiling because Fred couldn't get the wipers to work.
ReplyDeleteAnd at the end of that song you'd get to play it backwards. That'd be cool.
ReplyDeleteI like jumping in puddles. So, lovely weather you're having, eh?
ReplyDeleteYou can't marry the rain, I already proposed.
ReplyDeleteI love jumping in puddles!
ReplyDeleteOh, and thanks to your inspiration. here's my take on rain @ http://dufusdaze.wordpress.com/2011/08/03/the-rain-the-dark-and-other-things/
ReplyDeleteI love rainy days - and I love this photo!
ReplyDeleteI love water in all forms as well...especially rain and snow. And I love how such a simple thing can make such a beautiful photograph!
ReplyDeleteRainy days are wonderful, I love to just curl up on the couch with a good book and listen to the rain.
ReplyDeleteSometimes the simplest things are the most beautiful. That said, it is surprisingly hard to take a good picture of water.
