After Bob comes sunshine. Or something. 30 Days of Photographs IV is over, but
PJ's monthly photo blogging challenge is still going strong. The theme for September was
Outdoors, and while frantically trying to take photos for Bob, I took the opportunity to snap some photos outdoors, too. I guess technically these are my outtakes from Bob, photos I thought about using, but never did. I know some of my fellow Bob participants will be posting their outtakes in the next few days, so I recommend you check in with all your new friends to see some more great photos.

Trains are very modern in Finland |
|
Autumn market in Kristinestad. |
|
Not everything is black and white. This photo is, though. |
|
Houses are very modern, too. |
|
And last, some flowers to make you feel good. Or sneeze. |

How strange. I also posted a 'road' train today :) Even in black and white, I love the sunflowers! We tried to grow two plants this year and they both died.
ReplyDeleteFall in Finland looks lovely....but cold! :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos as always, Ziva. That market photo tells me things are cool your way. Everyone's wearing a jacket. Over here we're having a gorgeous Indian summer with temps around 28C.
ReplyDeleteI really like that "houses" shot for some reason.
Fabulous train shot! Love the shape and color of the "modern" engine! I really like the black and white shots too. Sometimes more than the color versions. And I agree, Finland Autumn looks a bit on the chilly side. Ours is coming.......
ReplyDeleteI really like that autumn market shot. Nicely done. And going black and white with sunflowers... interesting idea that really works.
ReplyDeleteThe town where I will be living come November has this public field where they grow sunflowers each year. People are encouraged to come over and take photos and pick sunflowers to take home.. For some reason, they don't seem to have a problem growing the sunflowers. :D
ReplyDeleteIt is lovely, and very cold. ;)
ReplyDeleteOh yes, the cold is here to stay. Temps range from 4C to 9C nowadays. Last week we even had a day with -2C. I'm expecting winter tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Lisa! I didn't see the train until it was right by me, so I was lucky to get a photo at all. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks PJ. :)
ReplyDeleteI adore sunflowers, but hardly ever see them in England. They need so much sun :(
ReplyDeleteNice photos! I especially like the last 3 in the series!! I love ally shots when all the houses are different colors
ReplyDeleteThe empty street is great. I love all the fall colors.
ReplyDeleteWow, it's like you live in the future or something with all that modernity everywhere :)
ReplyDeleteThat church pic is great. It's so spooky looking even though it's a daytime shot. I dunno why. Maybe it's the contrast after having just looked at the colourful market shot. Great pics :)
I want to be at the autumn market!
ReplyDeleteI could walk into eternity down that tree-lined street of plain homes. There's a story in that photo.
ReplyDeleteI really like this set because they're a departure from your macro photography and equally well done.
How lucky for us that you were able to get a shot of the wheeled train engine. It reminds me of tin banks that my kids received for Christmas about 10 years ago.
ReplyDeleteAs many others have expressed, I also particularly like the photo of the coloured houses lining the alley.
Thanks so much for providing a few glimpses into what it's like to spend time outdoors in your part of the world.
That shot of the church is stunning. They all are. I also loved the color shot of the street.
ReplyDeleteGreat set of shots for the theme. I particularly like your two B&W images. Very nicely processed.
ReplyDeleteThese are all so beautiful. Flowers in black and white... Unique and so pretty!
