30 Days of Photographs II: From An Ant's Perspective
Not just any ant, but an ant in your garden....and in the spring. Very nice, Ziva. The more I look at it the more it "grows" on me.
Sweet shot. Would have gone there myself if anything was blooming. ::sigh::
Very nice! I can almost smell the blooms.;-)
That is a beautiful shot! Is it an orchid?
I guess this is why you and Michael are the group leaders, because you take the photos to another level.
Very lovely indeed. I bet that's almost an ant heaven. At least, if I was an ant, that's what I'd want my heaven to look like.
Beautiful shot of a gorgeous flower. If I was an ant, I'd crawl over over that!
When they're not getting squished, ants actually do get to see some beauty. Nice shot!
Thanks, Mike. :)
Thanks, Linda. I'm glad it doesn't have ants crawling all over it, though, considering it's inside my apartment. ;)
Well, when you come back as an ant in the next life, I'll make sure to squish you quickly so you can see if that's what ant heaven looks like or not.No need to thank me.
I hope it has wi-fi.
I'm glad you liked it, Bryan. But there are so many great photographers participating this time, Michael and I are just barely scraping along. Especially Michael.
Yes, it's an orchid, one that hasn't got too many days of bloom left, I'm afraid. ;)
Thanks, Double-O! You have a really good nose.. ;)
Oh, I couldn't be arsed with going outside, so I took a photo of the orchid in my living room. The ground in still covered in snow in Finland, so you won't see anything blooming for quite some time..
Hah, yes, raisins. Actually, wouldn't just raisin do? I mean, have you seen how tiny ants are and how big raisins are? One raisin is plenty, they can cut it up in tiny pieces and then throw the pieces all over the floor.
I'm sure they'd love that. They should employ us to design their heaven.
The 'garden' is the flower pot in my living room, but if you ever feel like exploring your ant fantasies, you're very welcome to come live on that orchid.
But what would they use to pay us with?
And wine. And creme eggs.
And SKy TV.
Here's I'm trying to plan a party and all you want to do is watch football. Men!(Pretend this comment goes under your Sky TV comment and don't give me any grief about too narrow comment fields, thank you very much.)
Why would I give you grief about that?
Somehow, it just seems like something you might do.
They are one of my two favorite flowers - other being tulips. I may just have to go buy one or two later this week!
That's beautiful! Great take on the theme. It's nice to remember that ants sometimes get a pretty view. It's not all impending Nikes! :)
Thank you, Meleah! :)
Thanks, Nora! Normally, I'm totally the one with the Nikes, but I figured I have to do something happy once in a while. ;)
I love orchids, too.. And lily-of-the-valley. But the thing is, I tend to kill them all. Accidentally, of course. ;)
Oh, I'm busily killing all my indoor plants so it's outside or nothing for me.
That's a very pretty orchid, but I'll bet it looks like a dried-up weed when you're sitting next to it. I assume you sit next to it, anyway. Instead of under it, which would be a little strange, especially if there are ants all over the place.
I took a poll, and I'm winning. Nobody will admit, though, because they don't want to hurt your feelings.
I adore this one! Love the white on white.
But...I thought the idea was to crush ants. Not make beautiful pictures of flowers. Your lack of morbidity is probably because you live in Finland, which is the third happiest country in the world. Stupid happiness.
O-M-G. Love it. Love it. Love it. It's so beautiful I want to frame it in a clear frame and hang it on a dark blue wall.
Oh Michael, you're such a sweet talker. Are you going to give me the old "do you come here often" line next? ;)
Thanks, Pam! I love white on white. And black on white. And white on black. And black on black. And grey.Basically, anything without any happy colors.
Man, I thought Finland was the second happiest country in the world, not the third? Dammit, I can feel the depressin set in already.. I'll be killing ants by next week, just you wait and see.
Well, if you happen to have a dark blue wall and clear frame, you can certainly have the photo, too. ;) I'm glad you liked it. :)
