This is actually more like $ .75

Super Bowl, huh? I know every other blog will soon be full of Super Bowl commentary, so in order to keep my readership at a steady 3 readers, I’ll put in my two cents too. Yeah, Super Bowl... Interesting stuff. I heard the Green Bay Packers won. That’s great. They’ve always been my favorite baseball team. No? Basketball? Oh well, I definitely know they played the Chicago Blackhawks. And they have those funny goose hats.

...and that’s really all I have to say about that. *

  1. Ziva! I'm so sorry you didn't get the Superbowl on cable. We had 78 degree weather here yesterday, so I spent part of the time just listening to the game rather than watching it. It's not about the sports, it's about the food Honey!

  2. Your knowledge of sports is amazing. I'm in awe. (Well, technically I'm in Canada.)

  3. Thank you Noname, sometimes I amaze even myself. And I'm sorry about the Canada thing.

  4. Oh, they aired it live over here too, I just chose not to stay up all night watching it when I had to get up at 6 am today. They aired it again today at a more watchable hour, but I missed it. If I had known it was all about the food, however, I just might have stayed up. Food is way more awesome than bowling.

  5. I made chili with sirloin tips, red potato salad, pork ribs, green salad, bruschetta, poached pears with whipped cream, oh and jalapeno corn bread.

  6. That sounds amazing, Linda. Next Super Bowl you're so cooking me dinner.

    Please?

  7. I'm not a great football fan either, but I do watch the championship games in both Canada and the US. Oh, and by the way, the Canadian football rules are different - and tougher - than the US. That's probably why the Canadian games finish in a reasonable amount of time, mind you, you get more "ass time" in the American games. *air hand-squeezing the butts of football players*

My dad's favourite team was the Packers and I'm glad they won! It really was a good game. And those goose hats! Gotta luv 'em! (Pssst - good thing you didn't say what they really are lest Jepeto sneaks in here with his "s" word).
    ;-)

  8. I'll take a super bowl of chili, 'K?

I'm glad it's over. I didn't watch until the end but it looked to be a good game. I'll have to catch the ads, later.

The food part was even better since my mother-in-law made dinner. Yippee!

  9. Since it was Super Bowl Sunday, I celebrated by getting a pizza, drinking a bowl of beer and watching a movie. (That IS what I was supposed to do, isn't it?)

  10. Doesn't this Super Bowl happen at New Year's? I'm positive there was some kind of tradition of celebrating New Year's Day by watching the Super Bowl. Did it change times?

Not that it matters. I don't watch hockey anyway.

  11. I HATE football (as an American, am I allowed to say that?), so I sat around and pouted because there were no hockey games on. And today I find myself in the heart of Packer country--actually, I think I may be in hell.

  12. I predicted who was going to win and I didn't even know who playing until a few hours before it started. I do this every year, and have a nearly perfect record. I'm smarter than a monkey, I guess.

  13. Don't sell yourself short Z. This is actually more like $.78.

  14. I didn't care about the Super Bowl at all this year. But I did enjoy eating massive amounts of Junk Food and watching all of the commercials.

  15. I have no idea what "ass time" means, but I can only assume it's something dirty. I have a feeling I'd like Canadian "football" better.

Jeez, Double-O, don't mention Jepeto on other people's blogs. No one likes it when you talk about the boogeyman with his s-word.

  16. That's just the thing, we don't even get the ads, which are like the only good part of the entire thing. I did see a couple of them online, though, they were pretty funny.

  17. Hehe, that's awesome. I would have made it a bowl of wine, but I'm a European snob and really can't be blamed for disliking beer.

  18. I'm pretty sure you're getting Super Bowl mixed up with New Year's Eve. New Year's Eve is the one at New Year's. New Year's Day is often celebrated with a hangover, which of course could be mistaken for the Super Bowl, I guess.

  19. Your country will kick you out any minute now and revoke all your citizenship privileges. Don't worry, no matter what they've told you, there's a world beyond America. ;)

  20. Well, you're definitely hairier than a monkey.

  21. Finally, someone who recognizes my true worth. Thank you Nicky.

  22. Perhaps they could just rename the Super Bowl Junk Food and Funny Ads Day. I wouldn't mind celebrating that.

  23. I'm not picky... a bowl of wine would have worked just fine, too!

  24. I so much am wanting to visit Finland--the home of my ancestors. That ISN'T part of the US, right? (Here in the UP of Michigan, I'm not too sure we actually AREN'T in Finland--as most of the people are Finn.)

  25. Finland is definitely not part of the US. And I think you're the only one so far who's managed to spell the word "Finn" correctly - you must be a true Finn. Welcome home.

New Year's is also associated with sudden engagements.

  28. Dear, you've called me a fish arm on more than one occasion. It's okay, though. I forgive you. I do come across a little fishy sometimes.
