30 Days of Photographs II: Mirror
Beautiful photo. Seriously.. just beautiful.
ReplyDeleteA straight-ahead photo, but then cropped from the top so I'm still wondering what the rest of the room looks like. Again, and as always, nicely done.
ReplyDeleteThat's gorgeous, Lemmikki! Where is that? It looks like a dressing room, with the shelving on both sides and that gorgeous "boudoir" pattern wallpaper front and back. Please don't tell me that besides having a sauna, your apartment also has a dressing room? If that's the case, I've got to get my ass to Finland now!!
ReplyDeleteThat is cool - love that you chose black and white. If that is a reverse shot into your closet, everyone is going to want to live there!
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love this one. And not just because I am a sucker for all things Black & White.
ReplyDeleteThis photo is amazing. The colouring, reflection, teeny tiny body in the far background, all are wonderful. Not to mention the modern spotlights in the ceiling.
ReplyDeleteThis is a perfect shot for black and white. Really fun photo.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Cheryl, I love black and white for pretty much everything. ;)
ReplyDeleteThank you, Mo, you are too kind.
ReplyDeleteNo, really, you are. What are you up to??
Thanks Meleah, it really is a pretty room isn't it? :)
ReplyDeleteBlack and white seemed perfect for this shot. Sadly, it's not my closet, it's my parents'... ;)
ReplyDeleteThanks Nicky! It's at my parents' house, and while I did live in that house, I was put in a tiny little room under the stairs, while mom and dad got to enjoy the gorgeous dressing room. But if a dressing room will make you come to Finland, I will get one right now!
ReplyDeleteMaybe you'll get the bottom half for another theme? ;) The only problem with the bottom half is that I'm in it...
ReplyDeleteThank you, Kristen. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm out of town and on my iPad and can't see the other comments. having said that I love the photo. black and white was the way to go; it highlights the wallpaper. is that a closet? Is that where you keep the whip?
ReplyDeleteZiva, I like this picture a lot. It's haunting, yet sensual, perhaps because of the subdued lighting and ornate wallpaper. I love the hint of Paris in the partially obscured poster. Did you take this picture there at midnight?
ReplyDeleteI'm glad your sticking with the B&W because this photo is a perfect example of why it works so well. Great shot!
ReplyDelete;-)
Me? Nothing, just replying to comments and every now and then I stop the baby from throwing more food on the floor.
ReplyDeleteThank you, I really the like black and white, too, and it's perfect for the dressing room since everything in that room already is black and white. ;)
ReplyDeleteI wish..
ReplyDeleteThanks, dufus. :) Oh no, by day the whip's with me, and I keep it beside me in bed by night, that way it's always near when someone misbehaves.
ReplyDeleteWouldn't it be easier to just sit under the high chair and catch the food as it falls?
ReplyDeleteOh, I lie under there with my mouth open all the time.
ReplyDeleteThat's what she said.
ReplyDeleteThere is nothing like black and white for bringing out the "artistry" of a scene. I love this one, Ziva!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Linda! I thought you might like this one. ;)
