30 Days of Photographs II: Lines
Wow! This perspective is stunning. I see sunbeams shining back on those bricks. Really magical shot.
ReplyDeleteNice photograph. :)
ReplyDeleteVery nice photo, Mike. I like the contrast between the in and out of focus. Kind of like you.
ReplyDeleteI don't need no arms around me
ReplyDeleteAnd I dont need no drugs to calm me.
I have seen the writing on the wall.
Don't think I need anything at all.
No! Don't think I'll need anything at all.
All in all it was all just bricks in the wall.
All in all you were all just bricks in the wall.
Another gorgeous photo. Leave it up to you to even make a brick wall interesting.
ReplyDelete(Another musical tribute - Ah, she's a brick house, she's mighty mighty just lettin it all hang out - Are you too young for that one?!?)
"All in all you're just another brick in the wall..."
ReplyDeleteWhat a great photo of a brick wall!
ReplyDeleteVery nice lines. I particularly like how they blur off into oblivion.
ReplyDeleteOh snap!! What a fabulous shot! I love *love* it!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Mike. I also like how all the lines seem to converge as they blur off into oblivion.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Linda. It's strangely pretty, for a brick wall.. ;)
ReplyDeleteThank you, Cheryl! I'm really glad you liked it. :)
ReplyDeleteThank you! :)
ReplyDeleteNoooooh, not just another brick, surely!
ReplyDeleteMike? I wonder if it's not you who's unfocused, my dear dufus. ;)
ReplyDeleteMy favourite part of this is the edge. It is perfectly defined. I don't care about the bricks blurring into oblivion, it is the nearside chaps that I like. This is possibly my favourite of yours yet, not because it carries emotion (which it doesn't) or personality, but there's something very normal about this yet, despite the fact these are bricks (and I see bricks an awful lot of time) it's very pleasing to the eye to see the lines...
ReplyDeleteI thought it was mandatory to do at least one day of Pink Floyd. ;)
ReplyDeleteHah, yeah I was born in -85, so I think I might be a tad too young for that one. ;) I'm glad you liked the photo, though!
ReplyDeleteI love it when you sing.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Meleah!
ReplyDeleteWhat else could it possibly be?
ReplyDeleteI am SO glad you're not into personality and emotion, because we have plenty of brick walls I can take photos of over here.
ReplyDeleteThanks, I'm glad you liked it. ;)
How do you do that? How do you take something so mundane and turn it into something so incredible?
ReplyDeleteWell, according to Michael, it's the camera. ;)
ReplyDeleteI can't be sure but I think I'm a Freudian slip.
ReplyDeleteObviously, it's the camera.
ReplyDeleteThis is a very elegant photograph, Ziva. I love the way the lines in the distance converge. Or, looking at it the other way, the way they flare out until they're in focus. And the contrast between the bricks in the foreground and the rest of the bricks is terrific, adding to the effect created by the focus.
ReplyDeleteI don't have any problem picturing you in a slip, that's for sure.
ReplyDeleteYou're obviously wrong. It's clearly the lens.
ReplyDeleteI think I'll need to see a photo of CheesyMike in a slip now. Hell, the other Mike, too.
ReplyDeleteIt's weird because I was just thinking that the lines really feel like they start at the far end, all blurry like, and draw your eyes toward the piece of wall that's in focus.
ReplyDeleteHa, I just finished watching "The Wall" on t.v.
ReplyDeleteI did a wall, too, but it's nowhere near as good as yours. (*sniff*) Nice shot!
;-)
I liked your wall a lot, Double-O. Great minds, right? ;)
ReplyDeleteOh dear, you are a baby. That's why you need the whip - to keep us old folks in line!
ReplyDeleteOh, shit, must be the morning after kind of thing. Big party last night. I thought I was on Mike's blog. Sorry about that Ziva. It was ME that was out of focus. I like the pic, though.
ReplyDeleteLeave me out of your twisted thoughts.
ReplyDeleteThis is all going horribly wrong in a hurry.
ReplyDeleteLet me get this over with quickly so we can move on to other topics. Great photo...as usual. You are a talented photographer for such a young thing. Which brings me to this: You were born in 85? Damn, girl. You are five years younger than my youngest son. Crapola! You lucky thing, you! As my husband, Lurch, would say "I have shoes older than you!"
ReplyDeleteABSOLUTELY AMAZING. Love the focus. You have a GREAT eye!
ReplyDeleteThat's beautiful! I agree with Katherine, it's a great focus!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Nora! :)
ReplyDeleteThank you, Katherine! I don't know about the great eye and all that, but I do have seriously long eye lashes...
ReplyDeleteHaha! Yes, I was born in 1985. I'll be 27 in June, which is about 248 in shoe years. ;)
ReplyDeleteAnd it's working very well so far. ;)
ReplyDeleteDon't worry about it, dufus, I know you know the difference between me and Mike. I'm the one with the awesome hair, holding the mean-looking whip.
