Welcome, my friends. 30 Days of Photographs IV is on its seventh day, and has officially become the leading cause of total mental breakdowns in the Developed World.
MikeWJ will from now on be blogging from his padded cell in the mental asylum. Be nice to him.
Link up at the bottom of the page, and make sure you link to today's post, not just your main page - we want to be able to find your photo even after the challenge is over.
Day 7: Seven

30 Days of Photographs IV: Seven
And this one time, at band camp...
ReplyDeleteDid you make that pen & pencil holder? It's dandy.
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful. You have a gift for casting everyday items in a new light. I should take notes.
ReplyDeleteAre those pens or little flutes? Whichever, it's a very nice photo.
ReplyDeleteSo what are you doing with seven flutes, penny whistles, or whatever you call them? I'm intrigued as to what the other items are now.
ReplyDeleteHaha! Love Nicky's comment. Those are cute and the photo is wonderful!
ReplyDeleteAt first I thought flutes, then I thought pens - must be the lighting. Give MikeWJ my best. I'd keep those pens away from him though. You never know what he might do trying to escape.
ReplyDeleteI like the flutes. I don't usually like B&W photos unless they are old but, there is plenty of contrast and detail in this one and that makes it interesting.
ReplyDeleteI always love your black and white photos. Oh, those aren't pens.
ReplyDeleteAre those pens? I can't tell!
ReplyDeleteBAHhHhhahahhahahhahahhaahahh!
ReplyDeleteYou're going to poke Mike with those seven things, aren't you? (Whatever they are.)
ReplyDeleteLOL
ReplyDeleteActually, it's more like, "this one time, in NYC..."
I did not. It's something I've always had, I have no idea where I got it.
ReplyDeleteGod no, please don't. I'll get self-conscious and drop the camera into the sea or something.
ReplyDeleteThey're penny whistles. And thanks. :)
ReplyDeleteMostly, they just collect dust, like almost everything else here.
ReplyDeleteMe too, Reffie. :D Thanks.
ReplyDeleteThey're penny whistles, and MikeWJ is definitely not getting near them. He'd take them and turn them into a steampunk lamp or something.
ReplyDeleteWell, I'm glad there was enough detail in the photo to keep your interested, even though there were no pretty colors to hold your attention.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Lauren. :)
ReplyDeleteThey're penny whistles. Ridiculously easy to play. ;)
ReplyDeleteOh yes. Multiple times.
ReplyDeleteWhy do they call them penny whistles? Do they cost a penny? Are they made of copper? What?
ReplyDeletePoke him a couple of extra times for me!
ReplyDeleteI have a penny whistle somewhere... I think that was what caused my ex to leave.
ReplyDeleteVery pretty B & W shot!
ReplyDelete:-)
Traci
It really is eye-catching.
ReplyDeleteWait... is that a bed in the background? Do you woo your husband with penny whistles like the hypnotic nymph that you truly are???
ReplyDeleteOH!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI thought for second that they were pens but then remembered, who the hell uses pens anymore? Also, what's a pen?
ReplyDeleteHa!
ReplyDeleteIt's called a tin whistle or a penny whistle, because it was made from a tin sheet, and could be bought for a penny. Nowadays, you have to pay more than a penny and they're usually made of brass, I guess. ;)
ReplyDeleteWill do! And I'll enjoy it, too.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Traci. :)
ReplyDeleteHa! It's a sofa, and I will not deny or confirm any rumors of wooing going on on that sofa with or without the use of penny whistles. :D
ReplyDeletePens? What do you think this is, the 1990's?
ReplyDeleteI am happy you went with the black and white tones rather than sepia. Sepia is cheesy.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you agree with me.
ReplyDeletewhy do you need 7 penny whistles?? do you play then all at once?? that would be cool to see! snort
ReplyDeleteI would love to play all seven at once, but sadly, I only have three arms.
ReplyDeleteYeah, you probably would.
ReplyDeleteJaysus.
ReplyDeleteA penny for your whistles?
ReplyDeleteNice photo, Ziva. Black and white was a good choice for it, I think.
As an aside, you're the only person I know who owns a penny whistle, let alone seven of them.
That's nice, I like to be unique.
ReplyDeletewell what use are you to anyone?? sheeeesh only 3 arms who ever would've thunk it.
