Day 12 of 30 Days of Photographs III. Soon we'll be halfway through... Any day now...

You know what to do, the linky thing can be found at the bottom of the page.

Five

Five red ones. Five pink ones. I really shouldn't have to explain this to you.

  1. Actually I was counting pink... not realizing five red too... The elevstor doesn't always go to the top floor with me! GOERGEOUS....I would love to be there!

  2. So let me get this straight: You were so desperate to get an interesting Five photo for today that you bought five pink buoys and five red buoys, rented a boat, drove out into Finland Bay -- or whatever -- and carefully positioned them in an artistic line that would make for a quirky and interesting photograph? It's just a challenge not a competition, Ziva, remember? You don't have to humiliate the rest of us with every photograph.

  3. No, you idiot. I planned this prompt years ago, bought five red buoys, left them in the sea to make them look old and worn and lose their vibrant red color, then as the time came for the prompt, I bought five new buoys that were red and pretty, rented a boat, drove out into the Archipelago Sea, carefully positioned them in an artistic line that would make for a quirky and interesting photograph, drove back to shore to see if it worked, went back again to re-arranged the buoys a little, drove back once more and took the perfect Five photo.

    Obviously.

Jeez. It’s not like it’s rocket science.

  5. Very nice, especially since this has been in the making for years. I planned mine about 5 minutes before I snapped the shutter.

  7. Oh bouy, I love that picture. hahahahaha

  8. If you repositioned them, then I'm sorry to add that I think the 5th pink one needs to go a tad to the left.

  12. Yes, you should always explain. I was already thinking "Huh?" :)

  13. I know! I got very lucky. Also, had to do some creative cropping, but let's pretend that was my intention all along. ;)

  14. Five minutes? How very fitting!

  15. I know! And I think it's even more fantastic that I actually thought of counting them. ;)

  16. Hah! Whatever floats your boat, dufus!

    ReplyDelete
  17. Dammit! I'll have to do it all over now.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Don't worry about it, Tami, no one else does either. We all just pretend. ;)

  19. Well, legend has it that I've been working on this very photo since I was just a wee little mermaid,. ,)

  20. Thanks, Barb! I really do consider myself lucky, I could never be entirely happy not living near the sea. :)

  21. You're not missing anything, Reffie, there really isn't anything to explain. Except maybe the reindeers.

    ReplyDelete
  22. I just knew you were going to say that! Is that dingy or what?

    ReplyDelete
  23. I should've known. Manipulative witch.

  24. You're right my friend, Atara: You of all people could never be far from the sea.

And I miss the sea terribly. The nearest ocean is nearly a thousand miles from where I live. It isn't right.

  25. I find it hilarious how no one got this at all. If they only did a little research, they'd know that this is the playing field for "Water Pesäpallo"

  26. I wish I lived near water... sigh. But on a happy note, red and pink are two of my favorite colors!

  27. I'm glad you explained it. It would have taken me a while. Great photo!

  28. Gorgeous shot, Ziva. That must be such a beautiful sight from shore. I hope you didn't get too awful cold creating this arrangement.

    ReplyDelete
  29. No, it's not. You really ought to do something about that.

    ReplyDelete
  30. :D I am VERY impressed, Mike!

    ReplyDelete
  31. They certainly are good colors! I prefer the red, though. ;)

    ReplyDelete
  32. Thank you, Cheryl! It wasn't too cold, the ice in my hair melted almost instantly.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Phew! Forgot how much hair you have. Dear gawd, you could've drowned out there. Next time, do something simple, please?

  34. Lovely shot! Looks like a painting.

I'm taking a couple days off from the prompt but will stop by to see your works of art.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Thanks, Lauren! Take all the time off you want, we will still be here when you get back. Honestly, I think we will still be here at the end of times.

  36. I love it when you call me names.

  37. And had they dug deeper, he would have discovered my great uncle Turko Roth anchored the "Big Lung" position in three Olympiads.
